MOSCOW. The Fifth All-Russian competition for the best literary work for children "Kniguru" recently announced its winners. In the first place was the author of the work “Near Music”, a Muscovite Nina Dashevskaya.
The winner, who received the second place, was the writer from Nizhny Novgorod Dmitry Kazakov with the prosaic story “Moscow Snowstorm”. In third place was Muscovite Tatyana Rick with the novel "Chur, Volodya is my fiancé!"
The peculiarity of the “Kniguru” contest is that the best works of this season were selected by the most competent and representative jury, because it consisted of more than 7 thousand people. The fact is that, according to the rules of the competition, any teenager aged 10-16 could join the jury. To do this, it was enough to register on the official website of the competition, after which the user automatically became a member of the jury and could participate in open voting for the favorite work of the participant in the competition. The only condition put forward by the organizers was that each voter had to read the work first.
However, the organizers of the event claim that there was no shortage of visitors. The official website of the contest, which essentially became a youth social network with a literary slant, was visited daily by more than 15 thousand users.
The literary contest "Book" for the best work for adolescents was established by the "Center for the Support of Russian Literature" and the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications. The total prize pool of this season amounted to one million rubles.
