MURMANSK. Until March 4, a personal exhibition of the famous polar artist Vitaly Bubentsov is waiting for visitors at the Murmansk Art Museum. Honored Artist of Russia presented his exhibition entitled “On the Kola Land”. It included about 50 works performed in various graphic techniques.
In the artist’s works, landscapes painted by Vitaly Nikolaevich at different times. Most of them are dedicated to the Kola Peninsula. These are the surroundings of the Kola Bay - sheer cliffs, lakes, the Khibiny mountains, the ancient villages of the Varzuga and Kovdu seaside.
The artist traveled a lot in the villages of Belomorya. During his trips, he painted a series of portraits of people of the North - colorful images of pomors and fishes. The exposition also includes sheets created during Vitaliy Nikolayevich’s creative travels in the North Atlantic and the Arctic.
At the opening of the exhibition came a large number of friends of the artist, admirers of his talent. Maria Kovtun, the governor of the Murmansk region, also classifies herself as a fan of Vitaliy Nikolayevich’s work. She congratulated the artist on the opening of the exhibition and thanked him for his reverent attitude towards his native land.
The name of the artist during his work firmly entered the art world of the Arctic. For several decades, Vitaly Bubentsov has been painting northern landscapes that are familiar to each of the inhabitants of the Kola Peninsula.
The artist himself says that he was surprised when he saw how many works he wrote while traveling. The works created by Vitaly Nikolayevich during this time became a real artistic chronicle of the Murmansk Territory. Visitors to the exhibition, visiting the exposition, at the same time make a trip through the land of the Kola Peninsula, getting acquainted with its most hidden corners.
