MOSCOW. A new solo exhibition of the young but already well-known Moscow artist Oleg Zhuravlev opened in the Ilyinsky-Nashchekin House, located in Gagarinsky Lane, near the Kropotkinskaya metro station. The author presented an exposition of his works under the title "The Faces of the World", which fully corresponds to its content.
Oleg Zhuravlev spends a lot of time traveling, often visiting various countries, without ignoring Russian cities. During these travels, he writes many sketches on which he displays picturesque places of interest to him. These sketches later become the basis of a series of paintings dedicated to the countries where the artist managed to visit.
Oleg Zhuravlev creates paintings, following the traditions of realism, characteristic of the Russian school of painting. The artist’s works convincingly convey the color that characterizes the nature of each country, the places that inspired him to create sketches, and then paintings.
The exposition includes works written by Oleg Zhuravlev in the open air, as well as works created by the painter in the workshop. The artist has already shown many of the studio paintings at solo exhibitions. The talented master addresses in his works to various genres.
He writes portraits and still lifes, among his works there is historical painting, he is engaged in painter and set design. However, landscapes occupy a special place in the works of Oleg Zhuravlev. Having visited the exhibition, open until December 2, its guests will see amazing views that conquered the artist during trips to France and Italy, Bulgaria and Montenegro, Cyprus and Macedonia.
