VORONEZH. More than a hundred works made in various techniques were collected at the exposition, which opened on October 5 at the Museum named after Kramskoy. All works are united by a single theme, reflected in the title of the exhibition - “Orthodox Architecture”. Some of the paintings presented to visitors to the museum were stored in its stores for many years.

Thanks to the museum staff who organized the opening exhibition, museum visitors had the opportunity to see how Admiralteyskaya Square looked almost a century ago. The watercolor with her image, which became the pearl of the exhibition, was painted in 1921. The curators of the exhibition say about this work that over the past time this watercolor has turned into a document that records the past.

The exhibition, organized by the initiative of the Voronezh Diocese, Museum. Kramskoy, an art school in Voronezh, as well as a number of public organizations, became a natural continuation of last year’s display of works also dedicated to the theme of Orthodox architecture.

The opened exhibition once again demonstrates interest in temple creation, reflected in the work of both famous and novice artists. They express their feelings with drawings, paintings and other works of art, conveying admiration for the beauty of the temples and the scenic spots surrounding them.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, director of the Museum. Kramskoy V. Dobromirov emphasized the uniqueness of the opening exhibition, which united the idea of ​​authors of different generations. Visitors appreciated the variety of works by artists capable of showing the architectural splendor of temples from different angles. In the paintings you can see not only Voronezh churches, but also other cities of the country.
