VELIKIY NOVGOROD. “NON FINITO. Unfinished, unfinished… ”- under this name, the Novgorod Museum of Fine Arts on June 10 presented the exposition of the anniversary exhibition of the artist Nikolai Lokotkov. For his creativity, pedagogical activity and the creation of unique art projects dedicated to the history of printing, Nikolai Lokotkov was awarded honorary awards. The exhibition includes paintings and drawings created by the master at different times. He owns about fifty works of various genres, located in the exhibition hall. Since Nikolai Lokotkov is very attentive to the work of the students of the studio, whose leader he has been for many years, he presented more than twenty works of his students at the exposition.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see how diverse the interests of Nikolai Mikhailovich are presented in two more sections of the exhibition. One of them is dedicated to the magazine “Vvedenskaya Side”, the founder, editor and publisher is Nikolai Lokotkov. It began to be published in 1998, becoming the only Russian magazine telling about art to schoolchildren. Among his subscribers, not only Russians, he is willingly discharged in many countries.
The exhibition also presents a project created by Nikolai Mikhailovich in conjunction with the gallery "On the Market." Its name is "Novgorod Seal". The project is not only an interactive exhibition of the history of printing, but also a creative workshop of a graphic artist. Lokotkov developed the author’s program, according to which master classes are held to study the intricacies of printing. This project became the winner of the contest “Novgorod Land - 2015”.
