MOSCOW. From December 4, a large-scale exhibition “Artists of Crimea” is available for visitors on the third floor of the Central House of Artists. Its grand opening took place on the evening of December 8th. In total, the exhibition includes 350 works, the authors of which are 200 Crimean artists.
Artists of Crimean cities traveled to the Russian capital, taking with them their best works. It is a pity that, despite the extensive exhibition halls provided, the organizers of the exhibition were not able to accommodate all the works that arrived to participate in the exhibition. Some had to be left in storage.
In modern Russian history, a project of this scale, allowing you to get acquainted closely with the work of the masters of the Crimean peninsula, which last year became members of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. Now in Crimea there are three branches of the Union of Artists - Sevastopol, Crimean and Yalta. Delegations from each branch arrived at the opening of the exhibition. Delegations of Crimean artists will meet with Andrei Kovalchuk, chairman of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.
Since the idea and organization of the project, which represents the work of artists of the Crimean peninsula in the capital, belongs to the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, Andrei Kovalchuk welcomed the guests of the capital who arrived with their work at the exhibition. The Chairman of the Union of Artists noted in his greeting that this exhibition is a slice of the modern art of Crimea. According to the content of the exposition, it becomes clear what the Crimean artists are interested in, what they are thinking about.
The exhibition halls have many landscapes. Most of them are dedicated to the sea, coastal cities. Koktebel, Sevastopol - the views of these unique places served as sources of inspiration for many generations of artists.
The exhibition will work on December 20th, and then will go to other cities of the Russian Federation.
