NIZHNY NOVGOROD. “Watercolor Happiness” - under this name, on October 16 at the State Exhibition and Exhibition Complex (Nizhny Novgorod State Exhibition Complex), a personal exhibition of Nizhny Novgorod artist Nina Zhdanova was opened, this year celebrating the anniversary. The name of this exhibition indicates its content. In the exhibition hall of the complex there are 67 watercolor works, most of which are written in one of the most complex, requiring not only talent, but also a certain level of skill, technique.

At the opening of the exhibition, Vladimir Velichko, chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Artists, emphasized in his speech that the use of such sophisticated techniques as “Alla prima” makes watercolors extremely spectacular, vibrant, and fully reveals their unique beauty. The name of this technique can literally be translated from Italian with the phrase "in one sitting."

Using this technique, artists paint in watercolor on wet paper. The work is carried out quickly, in a time that does not allow the basis of the picture to dry. This way of writing allows the artist to create unique effects obtained by flowing paint - overflows, stains. Finished work looks alive, breathing, which is impossible to achieve even with the most careful prescribing of the image details in the figure.

Favorite genres of Nina Zhdanova are still lifes and landscapes. Most of the landscapes painted by the artist recently, performed in her favorite place - these are views that open on Lake Onion. This unique corner of nature is located opposite Vasilsursk. Gray herons and silhouettes of majestic temples come to life on watercolors.

The creative activity of the artist, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1997, constantly participating in exhibitions of various levels, is appreciated by diplomas and diplomas.
