Her exposition, the presentation of which took place at the end of last week, on August 28, represents the work of the artist Yuri Lisovsky, who constantly lives and works in Syktyvkar.

This personal exhibition of the artist, connecting the Komi Republic and the city of Strelna, located near St. Petersburg, was organized as part of the project "Contemporary Artists of Russia". The work of this exhibition project makes it possible to show their creativity to talented artists working in the far corners of our country.

Yuri Lisovsky represents in his works performed in various art techniques, the ethno-futuristic trend in contemporary art. When asked the artist about the meaning of the term “ethnofuturism”, Yuri Lisovsky explains that this technology makes it possible to convey in a modern form the cultural strata accumulated in the art of the peoples of the Finno-Ugric group, which are the indigenous population of the Komi Republic.

The artist’s creativity is extremely diverse, but at the opening exhibition, the author presented the graphics included in the Creation of the World series. Many of them are well known to the public, familiar with the work of Yuri Lisovsky. The artist completed his work on plain paper using a black marker.

The presentation of the exhibition attracted many guests. About seventy people came, among whom were the author’s countrymen. The opening ceremony of the exhibition ended with a master class conducted by the artist and the presentation to the art fund of a gift from Yuri Lisovsky - two of his paintings.

The exhibition is waiting for visitors until September 20.
