The Museum of Naive Art presents the art exhibition "Ay da Pushkin" Automatic translate
MOSCOW. Museum of Naive Art In the exhibition hall "Art-Izmailovo" opened the exhibition "Ay da Pushkin." Her exposition is composed of works belonging to the museum’s own funds. The exhibition can be visited from August 26th, but its official opening ceremony will be held on September 9th. Employees of the Naive Art Museum have prepared this exhibition in honor of the Year of Literature in the Russian Federation.
The Museum has addressed the Pushkin theme earlier. In 1997, an exposition was created, which collected works dedicated to the Pushkin images created by naive artists. Since then, a considerable amount of work has been received by the museum funds dedicated to the poet’s work and life. The works selected for the exhibition, allow viewers to plunge into the Pushkin world, born of "naive art."
The art critic O. Baldina, specializing in the study of naive art, notes that for the people, Pushkin’s work is of particular importance. The images created by the poet in works for naive artists became not only an occasion for plots of paintings devoted to characters invented by Pushkin. They turned the poet himself from a real figure into a cultural hero who comes to life in paintings by artists in non-classical subjects.
Among the works housed in the exhibition, the poet appears in mythological situations invented by artists. Naive artists put Pushkin and his characters in a fairy-tale world that appeared on their canvases thanks to vivid childhood memories, a time where fairy tales organically merged with reality.
It is not difficult to visit a world born of the art of naive artists creating images that are unlimited by the accepted framework. The exhibition "Ah yes Pushkin" is waiting for guests until November 22nd.
