"Dialogue on the Eternal" - an original project of two Far Eastern artists in the Museum of the Kamchatka Territory Automatic translate

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. Employees of the Kamchatka Krai Art Museum are waiting for visitors to the Dialogue on the Eternal exhibition, which opened on July 30. In fact, this exhibition is one of a series of expositions created as part of the project of the same name.

This project was invented by two Far Eastern artists - Konstantin Kuzminykh, who lives in Magadan, and living and working in Khabarovsk, Alexander Lepetukhin. Their joint project has been over ten years old. The works presented at exhibitions that have already visited most cities in the Far East are united by a common theme - Bible stories come to life in each artist’s work.

The uniqueness of this project is the constant change of paintings included in the exhibition. A special intrigue of the exhibitions is that even the authors themselves do not know what the exposition they created will look like. They live and work far from each other, so artists can see the works of their colleagues only at their next joint exhibition. Each of these masters chose their own creative path.

Konstantin Kuzminykh prefers painting, and he treats the theme of the project in his own way, including in the exposition works filled with his own memories. In his paintings, he makes the audience return to their distant past. The opened exhibition presents 23 paintings by Konstantin Kuzminykh.

His colleague, Alexander Lepetukhin, performs his work in various types of graphic techniques, creating his own pictorial version of biblical subjects. More than 60 of his works are presented in Petropavlovsk. In many artists, pencil and wax pastels are combined.
