On April 26, an exhibition of paintings by famous artists of Vladimir, who are no longer with us, will open at the Center for Fine Arts. “To remember…” - this name was given to the exhibition, which became a joint project of several public and official organizations, which included the club “Muses of Artists”.

This club, where the widows of artists united, was created several years ago. It is led by Alevtin Ulitin. Club members are trying to do everything possible to preserve the creative heritage of Vladimir artists. They assist in organizing exhibitions, conduct tours, write and publish articles telling about the work and life of famous artists.

The exhibition "To Remember…" is a unique project. Similar exhibitions were organized earlier, but their expositions consisted of the works of one or two authors. The exposition of the opened exhibition represents the 41st author. The works of nine masters adorn the St. George ribbons - they were participants in the war. In total, 120 works of art were placed in the exhibition halls - painting, graphics, sculpture.

Next to the bright canvases of landscape classics, whose work belongs to the Vladimir School of Painting, there are graphic works made in black and white.

For many visitors, landscapes painted by Alexei Antonov, a teacher of the university’s hudgraf, became a discovery. His individual technique can be called picturesque graphics, where watercolor is combined with gouache and pastel.
