PARIS. Valentin Yudashkin took for the idea the motives of the world famous Amber Room when developing the autumn-winter collection of clothes for women 2015-2016. She was presented at the high fashion week in Paris. The collection was the second in a row, developed in close collaboration of the famous Russian couturier with the Kaliningrad Amber Factory.

Yudashkin shared his impressions of the work and emphasized the importance of a noble stone in its creation. The designer called amber "an interesting creation of nature, with an extraordinary variety of colors, a rich history of processing." The riddle of the eighth wonder of the world has been exciting the imagination of both representatives of creative professions and ordinary people for decades. Inspired by the secret disappearance of the unique Amber Room, the couturier set out to remind contemporaries of the lost treasure, of the elegant era when the rare and noble stone was at the height of fashion, it was created from it refined and expensive jewelry in the form of brooches, necklaces, furnishings, etc.

The amber room, famous for its excellent panels and panels, luxurious interior products made of amber, was created almost three centuries ago by German craftsmen for the Prussian monarch Frederick I. Later, the products that were part of the room were donated to Peter I and became one of the best decorations of the imperial residence. In 1941, at the very beginning of World War II, the treasure was taken by German conquerors to Königsberg, and in 1945, after their retreat, the amber masterpiece was not in the Royal Castle. Since then, his whereabouts remain a mystery to all.

When creating his models, Valentin Yudashkin used the design solutions of the Amber Room, translating them into accessories and decorative ornaments of his unusual collection. It amazes with a wide range of colors, playing with all tints from warm dark orange to a gentle light noble shade of amber.

Collections and models of this brand are successfully demonstrated on the catwalks of the best fashion capitals in the world, the brand has won many fans on almost all continents of the world. In the future, the designer intends to continue working with the Kaliningrad Amber Plant, and plans to create a collection of home accessories. The central element in the design of mirrors, caskets and other interior items will be the "sun stone".

Mikhail Zatsepin, who holds the post of general director of the enterprise, noted the increased user demand for amber jewelry and products. He commented on the collection of the eminent designer, whose partnership was deeply appreciated at the plant, promising her tremendous success on the crest of increased interest in precious stone. Despite the oblivion to which amber was subjected for more than a dozen years, Russian masters did not lose knowledge on its unique processing.

Zatsepin stressed that the grandiose plans of the Kaliningrad plant to make the country a world leader in amber processing. Collaboration with leading jewelers and designers is an excellent marketing move that will play a crucial role in returning the noble stone to the world of high fashion.

The foundation of the Kaliningrad Amber Plant took place in the post-war years, last year the enterprise became part of the Rostec state corporation on the basis of a decree of the President of the Russian Federation. The plant is engaged in industrial production of amber near the village of Amber. About 90% of world reserves of “sun stone” are concentrated in this area. The field is about 50 million years old and annually about 300 tons of amber are mined from it.

In April 2015, a large furniture exhibition will be held in Milan, in which Kaliningrad masters will also present their creations. Among their masterpieces - amber inlaid furniture, magnificent panels. The merits of Kaliningrad amber designers - graphic artist Igor Isaev and chairman of the Amber Industry Association Alexander Emelyanov were recognized at the federal level, they became laureates of the Russian Government Prize in the field of culture, along with writers, directors and other representatives of the creative professions. The next task of the enterprise’s specialists will be to bring the region to the world level, making it a leader in the processing of valuable amber.

Masters note that the key to success of the country’s amber workers is the desire to create a high-quality final product, no less important is the skillful organization of the whole process, starting with dealer relations and ending with cooperation with research institutes and interaction with the government.

The Amber Plant joined the Amber Industry Association, which was created less than a year ago, along with two dozen other enterprises. According to Mikhail Zatsepin, the main course of the enterprise is to support a manufacturer offering a high-quality final product: furniture, jewelry or all kinds of amber products that can compete with leading Lithuanian and Polish companies.

Royal Amber Jewelery is a capsule collection of Valentin Yudashkin No. 1. Her products were readily purchased by prominent figures in the fashion industry: VOGUE USA editors-in-chief Anna Wintour and Tatler Russia Ksenia Solovyeva and other well-known trendsetters.

Models of the "amber" collection will be available in the flagship Moscow boutique of the famous designer in the summer of 2015.
