VILNIUS. For 4 days, Vilnius becomes the amber capital, where the XII International Jewelry Exhibition Amber Trip 2015 takes place. She was able to collect in one place masterpieces created by creative artists from the Baltic countries, Poland, Turkey, Italy, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Russia, Germany and others.

The exhibition was attended by about 150 companies, which were joined by wholesale buyers from Japan, Kamchatka, simple connoisseurs of stones. Several Kaliningrad specialized companies are participating in the exposition, including the Kaliningrad Amber Plant State Unitary Enterprise. It is these participants that the event’s author Giedrius Guntorius considers to be the most desired and reliable partners. At the seminar, the presentation of the concept of mining Baltic amber in Lithuania is planned.

The exhibition features 26 replicas of famous objects from various collections, for example fragments of the Amber Room, objects of scientific reconstructions of collections lost in Berlin and Königsberg. Their authors are employees of Tsarskoye Selo Amber Workshop LLC. The amber room was created at the beginning of the XVII century, its decoration was made using amber, which disappeared in an unknown direction during the Great Patriotic War.

The attention of visitors to the exhibition, in the first place, attracts a huge "ingot", whose weight is 3.8 kilograms. It was this instance created by nature itself that was able to surpass its competitor from the Palagi Museum. In addition to the traditional and unique amber, the Amber Trip exhibition presents precious stones that were expertly enclosed in frames made of precious metals of the highest standards. One of the best hotels in Lithuania placed within its walls an “amber-diamond city”, which occupied an area of ​​2000 m².
