An exhibition "Urban Minimalism" opened in Omsk, presenting the results of two workshops Automatic translate
OMSK. Onegin’s Cottage, which constantly organizes unique events, on January 10 invited everyone to the opening of the Urban Minimalism exhibition. Its organizers presented the results of the work of participants of twice held art workshops. Not everyone knows what constitutes an event with such an unusual name.
Usually, such a term represents a master class, where each participant, actively working, takes on the knowledge he needs from other members of the group. The leader of the group gives only the most necessary theoretical knowledge. Learning objectives are determined by the participants themselves.
Such workshops were carried out in 2013-2014 by the Art Laboratory "Circle Square". Now visitors can get acquainted with the exposition consisting of the works created by the project participants. The project was attended not only by professional artists. During the workshops, everyone wanted to visit the Square Circle art laboratory.
Thus, among the thirty authors who presented their works at the exhibition, there were representatives of young people of various creative professions. The youth association “TLC-Siberia” actively supported the holding of events, helping the organizers of workshops in their conduct. The exposition contains more than seventy works created by project participants during the practical part of the training.
The organizers noted that the purpose of creating the exposition is to rethink the works of twentieth-century artists who worked in the genre of abstract painting. Inspired by the artists to create the paintings presented at the exhibition, their hometown. Unusual details of the Omsk space turned into vivid images on large-format canvases.
