Carlson, who lives on the roof, temporarily settled in a gallery on Solyanka Automatic translate
MOSCOW. A huge number of spectators constantly come to seasonal exhibitions held in the Gallery on Solyanka. It is impossible to divide the fans of the projects taking place in the gallery halls into categories - here comes an audience of different ages, having a completely different social status. Many of the projects created in the gallery continue their lives at the exhibition venues of other cities.
"Carlson’s exhibition" was opened shortly before the New Year holidays, but it became clear that she was interested in the audience. Obviously, before February 1 (the date the exhibition ends), the number of visitors can break the records set by previous projects - about 120 thousand people visited them.
The exhibition was based on the work of animators, who created in the late 60s the image of Carlson, one of the favorite heroes of several generations of children. The adult audience also noted this indefatigable character invented by Astrid Lindgren, a writer from Sweden. For Russian readers, Carlson was opened by a translator Liliana Lungina.
At the Carlson Exhibition, its organizers collected the main rarities provided by state and personal collections, each of which has something to do with the name of a popular character. Here are sketches and storyboards created by A. Savchenko and Yu. Butyrin, the production designers of the famous cartoon, filmstrip mock-ups, and original illustrations of the book published by the publishing house Malysh.
At the exhibition, you can watch video versions of performances about Carlson, hear Freken Bock’s voice through the intercom, play the original game “We indulge in plushies”. The project managers and inspirers are the gallery director Fedor Pavlov-Andreyevich and artist Katya Bochavar.
