"Time Travel" by St. Petersburg artist Stanislav Bershtein in the Kaliningrad art gallery Automatic translate
KALININGRAD. An exhibition by Stanislav Bershtein, an artist from St. Petersburg, is open in a city art gallery called “Time Travel”. Kaliningraders have already met with his work at the exhibition "Saved City", which was held in March in the same gallery.
Then the organizers of the exhibition presented visitors the landscapes painted by the artist of his native and beloved city on the Neva. These works were visited at the author’s personal exhibitions held in Berlin and Paris. A new exhibition by Stanislav Bershtein, which opened in Kaliningrad, will show visitors the other side of the artist’s work.
"Time Travel" presents portraits, among which are images of many famous figures of culture and art. There is also a portrait in the exposition, the hero of which cannot be recognized - it depicts the famous clown Oleg Popov. Works for this part of the exhibition were provided for the exhibition by Andrei Gorokhov, who is a close friend of the Stanislav Bershtein family.
No less interesting are the artist’s works, reflecting his travels. These are not only those corners of the world that Bershtein managed to see in person, but also those where fantasy led him. Everyone who was closely acquainted with Stanislav Bershtein, say that the artist liked to depict the borderline state of nature. They served as a source of inspiration for him. On his pastels you can often see twilight, late autumn, the evening promenade illuminated by lanterns.
In total, the exhibition includes about thirty works written by pastel. In addition to portraits, visitors will see landscapes of European cities and copyright copies of works by famous masters of painting. They are demonstrated, covered with a special glass made of plastic, so that delicate pastels retain their colorfulness.
