"World through the eyes of Russian artists" is shown in the Yelagin Palace Automatic translate
ST. PETERSBURG. Art lovers were given the opportunity to see in the Yelaginsky Palace "Peace through the eyes of Russian artists." Under this name, an exhibition has opened in the exhibition hall of the Konyushenny building, the exhibition of which is composed of works by artists of St. Petersburg who have visited seven European countries with creative expeditions.
The artists were able to travel on such wonderful journeys thanks to the creator of the project “Creating the World”, Vyacheslav Zarenkov, an artist and philanthropist. Zarenkov is the chairman of the board of directors of Etalon companies, has the title of Honored Builder of the Russian Federation. His passion for art was developed in the appearance of this unique project, the purpose of which is the desire to show people the beauty of the world, and tell the inhabitants of European countries about Russia.
For three years, thirty Russian masters visited seven countries. These were not ordinary travels - artists not only worked in open airs, but also got acquainted with the history and culture of the countries chosen for creative trips. They sought to learn in detail about the lives of people in these countries, about their customs and traditions.
The result of this journey, lasting three years, was seven hundred paintings made by the project participants. It is clear that to display all the works, an exhibition area would be needed, much larger than the chamber hall allocated for the exhibition in the Stables.
An expert council was involved in the selection of works for the exhibition, which included well-known artists of St. Petersburg. The result of their work was an exposition of the 40 best works of Petersburg artists. The project “Creating the World” will be continued in 2015, and the results of the open-air plein airs can be found on February 15th.
