Arseny Vlasov’s exhibition of creativity in the Central House of Artists is dedicated to the centenary of the artist Automatic translate

MOSCOW. “Gallery Art” presented at the Central House of Artists an exhibition of the work of the artist Arseniy Vlasov “Seasons”, dedicated to the centenary of the author of many famous paintings. One of his large-scale paintings for four decades adorned the hall of the Kazan station. The canvas dedicated to Moscow State University was visible to everyone whose train arrived in the capital - its size was 4 x 6 meters.

The artist’s creative heritage left a large number of works dedicated to the capital. A whole series of works written in the fifties are referred to as “industrial landscapes”. In them, the artist captured the stages of the construction of the Luzhniki complex, Moscow University.

However, the main direction of the work of Arseny Vlasov was lyrical landscapes. The artist found nature for his paintings on numerous trips around the country. The material collected during these travels gave the artist the opportunity to create the most famous large-scale paintings - “Artek Pioneer Camp”, “Tchaikovsky House-Museum”, “Lake Baikal”. The artist’s last works were canvases written in the 1980s and 90s, which made up the Four Seasons cycle.

Inga Khegay, curator of the exhibition, at the opening of the exhibition said that the main feature of Arseniy Vlasov’s work is his ability to convey the state of nature on his canvases, his ability to paint the landscape so that the rustling of grass and air movement are felt. Although the themes of the works created by Vlasov are many canvases dedicated to construction, harvesting, holiday demonstrations, the artist did not consider himself a socialist realist. He considered his style to be Impressionism, which is based on the Russian school of painting.

The exhibition, consisting of fifty paintings by A. Vlasov in the second half of the last century, is open until October 12.
