BARNAUL. Vladimir Timush, a well-known monumental artist in the Altai Territory, presented a retrospective exhibition of his work in the art museum. The exhibition is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Vladimir Timush. Working in the Altai Territory for more than 30 years, the artist created a huge number of sculptural reliefs, mosaics and interior paintings.
In addition to monumental works, Vladimir Timush is engaged in painting and paints icons. Since 1989, Vladimir Filippovich has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, and since 1999 he has been a member of the Creative Union of Russian Icon Painters, being a member of the Covenant. Since 1977, the artist has been constantly participating in various levels of exhibitions.
His paintings are always popular with Russian and foreign collectors, decorate state collections. Since 2002, Vladimir Filippovich has been working as a teacher at the Altai Academy of Arts, teaching students mastery at the Department of Architecture and Design. Thanks to the knowledge gained, many of Vladimir Timosh’s students have achieved significant professional success.
At the opening exhibition, the artist for the first time shows the public such a significant amount of his paintings. Among them are paintings created by the painter in the last decades of the last century, supplemented by new works written in 2013-2014.
The exposition includes a cycle of decorative works, united by the name "Seasons". This series successfully participated in an exhibition held in Moscow this spring under the name - “Altai. Form. Time". No less interesting is the series “Chair”, which presents portraits of colleagues and students of Vladimir Timush.
During the exhibition, open until October 19, the artist will meet with the audience.
