This is no accident - after all, on the paternal side, Olga is a descendant of the dynasty of Arkhangelsk icon painters, and from her grandfather, the outstanding sculptor G.I., Motovilov (we recall at least the reliefs of the Moscow metro), Olga inherited a constructively-voluminous approach to all the substances depicted.

In Olga’s painting, two traditions are bizarrely but clearly and logically connected: the Russian one, which focuses on the inner light and inner warmth of the world and the French, the Fauvist line, expressing in all its fullness of open color the delight of being and, above all, the joy of communicating with The sun. Olga’s works warm the viewer, in each of them the painter brings to the outside world and a piece of his own warmth, which he perceives festively and positively.

Sincerity and optimism, so rare in our difficult times - this is what attracts the viewer in the work of Olga Motovilova-Komova. A number of works of the last period, which are exhibited by “Gallery on Novinsky” in the artist’s new personal exhibition, are a vivid confirmation of this.
