MOSCOW. In the exhibition halls of the Russian Academy of Arts on August 12, an exhibition of the creativity of the national artist of the Russian Federation Vadim Kulakov begins. The opening of the exhibition is timed to the 75th anniversary of the master. The exhibition exposition is composed of easel paintings and graphic works, many of which were created by the artist not so long ago.
Vadim Kulakov began to learn the profession at an art school, and then he studied at the Surikov Institute, where he studied the secrets of mastery from wonderful masters. Among his teachers were such well-known artists as A. A. Deineka, M. I. Kurilko and others, equally famous masters.
Moscow State Art Institute named after Surikova Kulakov graduated in 1963, and three years later he began to actively participate in exhibitions of various sizes, including international ones. Since the 1967 goal, the artist has created more than twenty major works in the genres of monumental and decorative art.
Ten of these monumental works were named the best works of the year and awarded the Ministry of Agriculture. Some of them are well known to residents of the capital and other Russian cities. Vadim Kulakov completely decorated the interior of the scientific library at the University of Tomsk, his mosaic at the Ryazan Puppet Theater is admired by the audience together with the children before the start of the performance. In the capital, on Bolshaya Nikitskaya, there is the temple of Small Ascension, the facade of which is decorated with the work of Vadim Kulakov.
Visiting the exhibition, you can see another facet of the talent of the hero of the day. The paintings created by the artist are filled with complex compositions that organically include objects and figures. They are distinguished by the beauty of the color scheme, contrasts of shadow and light. Many of them are dedicated to the life of the Russian province.
