"Shades of feeling: female" by Lena Vazhenina at the VINIL Art Center Automatic translate
April 22 at 19.00 in the Art Center "VINIL" will open the exhibition "Shades of feeling: female" by Lena Vazhenina and showing an experimental film by Karina Ivanova.
The exhibition is designed to show the viewer not only the strongest feelings that women experience constantly or periodically, but also to awaken to respond to familiar motives.
Sometimes we lose ourselves in the metropolis, which we associate with traffic jams, negative news, eternal rains and discomfort, often forget to show emotions to what we experience and behold, constantly limit ourselves to the limits of what is permitted, being afraid to seem stupid. The chaos of accumulating garbage blocks our natural instincts, closes us into our own shell of constraint.
Each exhibit, which is a visualized human experience, is intended to affect the visual, auditory and olfactory systems of a person in total. The viewer, trying to mimic a feeling, begins to experience it one way or another.
“To extract the emotions of the viewer outward, to show on the part of the feelings that each of us experiences, to identify the sensory structure and awaken it at an unconscious level - this is the purpose of this exhibition,” says Lena Vazhenina, author of the photographs.
The exhibition is a series of photographs by Lena Vazhenina and the black-and-white surreal experimental film Raymeout, shot in the USA by Karina Ivanova.
