Creativity of European Renaissance artists in the Kemerovo Museum Automatic translate
KEMEROVO. The Regional Museum of Fine Arts presented to the residents of the city the exhibition “Western European Art of the 16th-19th Centuries”. The canvases that made up the exhibition arrived in Kemerovo from St. Petersburg. They are part of the collection of the Museum of the History of Religion (GMIR), located in the city on the Neva.
Visitors to the exhibition had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the work of artists who are followers of the great masters whose paintings were painted during the Renaissance. A great role model for these famous artists was the great Titian.
In the exhibition halls of the Kemerovo Museum housed 93 works, among them - paintings, drawings and objects of decorative art belonging to the French, German and Spanish painting schools.
The Kuzbass audience does not manage to see such exhibitions too often. In local museums there are no works of European artists of those years, and traveling exhibitions bring them extremely rarely.
If the masterpieces of Russian artists appear in the exhibition space of Kuzbass, then the last time you could get acquainted with Western European art about ten years ago when the Hermitage in Siberia project was carried out in 2004.
Employees of the Kemerovo Museum planned to hold this exhibition for a long time, negotiations with the St. Petersburg Museum were held for several years. After the agreement was reached, direct preparations for the exhibition took place for about a year - some paintings required restoration, the design of the exposition was being developed.
For all the works presented to visitors, the Bible and the Holy Scripture served as sources of inspiration; therefore, they depict religious subjects, images of sacred history.
