In Orel, an exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the artist V. Alekseev Automatic translate
EAGLE. On August 1, an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of a member of the Union of Artists, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, Alekseev Valentin Alekseevich, opened in the city museum of local lore. The artist lives in Orel for twenty years. Of the works that have been written by Alekseev over the years, the exposition has been compiled.
The date the exhibition is dedicated to is really worthy of attention. Valentin Alekseevich was born in 1923, in the Rostov region. The place of his birth was the village of Russkoye, where, shortly before the war, he graduated from high school in the year 40. He began to draw from childhood, dreamed of a career as an artist, but with the outbreak of war he went to the front.
Military service continued until 1947, but Valentin Alekseevich did not stop painting. All free minutes, he painted portraits of fellow soldiers, the place where the battles took place. These military sketches are the most valuable that the artist has preserved, because each drawing is associated with his own fate, preserving the memory of comrades-in-arms.
After the service, Alekseev studied in Rostov, at an art school. After graduation, he was sent for further study at the Institute. Repin, and in 1957, by invitation, he left for Murmansk, where the Regional Drama Theater became his place of work. In the theater, Valentin Alekseevich held the position of production designer.
Later there was work on television, and then was appointed chief artist of Murmansk. While working in Murmansk, the artist created many works that participated in exhibitions, among which were very significant - not only personal, but also of national significance, as well as foreign.
Valentin Alekseevich moved to Orel in 1980. To this day, his main occupation is painting. Despite his age, the artist is actively working and is full of new creative ideas.
