"Violation" by Elzbiet Yablonska at the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Automatic translate
On December 10, the Ukrainian Academy of Arts was visited by the Polish artist Elzbieta Jablonska, who began the planned series of lectures and master classes on “intermedia drawing”. Education of Ukrainian students, taking place as part of a cooperation program with Poland, will be held within 3 days. And end with the presentation of her personal exhibition.
Moreover, the exposition will be “lively” and will become a peculiar result of the training that the artist planned to conduct for the students of the academy. The idea of the exhibition is simple and somewhat provocative. Often the artist is credited with two roles - to praise the world or blaspheme it. Moreover, both of these duties must be performed without going beyond the boundaries of the paintings.
However, contemporary art cannot stand aloof from the realities of life and watch how mass culture displaces the idea of beauty from people’s consciousness. Therefore, artists should take on the role of "violators" of the order, not afraid to come and change those aspects of the world that destroy their pure mind with their impersonality and vulgarity.
Therefore, the idea of the artist’s intervention in the world around him, and not only in his architectural, material space, becomes the leitmotif of the exhibition. But also in society. An artist from a passive observer turns into an initiator of changes, and modifies reality. Skeptics may decide that this is a utopia… But after all, someone should become a messenger of a different life!
