Contribution of Felix Humen to the development of the Belarusian school of painting Automatic translate
On October 19, the exhibition "Master and students" was opened in Minsk, dedicated to the creative and pedagogical activities of the famous Vitebsk artist Felix Gumen. Being a very bright figure, the master throughout his life attracted talented youth. And how to resist a person who embodies beauty in his works? Walking freely along the path of improving technology and striving to emphasize the best aspects of being?
In his youth, learning mastery at the Vitebsk Pedagogical Institute, he was the first in the USSR to defend a diploma in watercolor painting. What opened up for other artists the opportunity to defend themselves in the technique that best suits their inclinations.
It is not surprising that, having such a strong desire for freedom of expression and a kind, open soul, the artist decided to devote himself to the education of future generations and instill a love of watercolors.
Delicate, glowing, air lines. Easy perspective and clear colors. Watercolors that listen to the paper and create a vision of the city through the prism of love for the world. And portraits, and landscapes, and even abstractions are full of lyrical mood and worship of the beauty of this world. Not surprisingly, many talented artists of the CIS consider themselves Felix Gumen’s students.
The exhibition runs until November 5th. During this period, visitors will be able to see more than 80 works by Felix Humen, as well as watercolors by his many students.
