Halftone art - extremes or middle ground? Automatic translate
On July 14, in Odessa, at the NT-Art Gallery, a creative debate took place on the search for a middle ground in art, as well as on the role dualistic concepts play in it. As well as the opening of the Middle Leg exhibition, the exposition of which was composed of the works of the most prominent figures of Ukrainian art.
The discussion between numerous representatives of modern Ukrainian art, in the person of young people and older brothers in the "workshop", revolved around a central issue. Throughout the entire existence of mankind, the debate between Good and Evil, Old and New, Beautiful and Ugly, Strong and Weak, Spirit and Matter, has become both a source of chaos and an endless stream of creative energy.
Problems arising from such duality and the constant confrontation of extreme points are difficult to assess globally. But on the example of a single exhibition, to trace the consequences arising from the initial premises is quite interesting. However, few people manage to create only at the limit, using only images related to one extreme or another. It is often impossible to create a masterpiece without the “middle”, vital halftones. In a world where absolute is unattainable, this is the only reality!
