This painting depicts a bathing scene, with the central figure, Diana, goddess of the hunt, bathed by her nymphs. She is semi-seated, with one leg extended and the other bent, while a nymph attentively washes her foot. Another nymph holds a rich red cloth and appears to be assisting Diana by draping it. Several other figures are present, some attending to Diana, and others in the background.
