A brilliant Russian landscape artist. How photographically accurate the landscape is rendered! The picture strikes us with its vastness, the vast, wide lake, the calm smooth surface in which, as in a mirror, small islands, steep sandy shores, the sky with large fluffy cumulus clouds driven by fresh winds are reflected. Description of Konstantin Kryzhitsky’s painting "The Lake"
The blueness of the expanse is simply enchanting!
It seems the painter deliberately did not depict the foreground of the shore so that the canvas would look even more vast, the expanse boundless, endless... Looking at the picture, you might get the impression of floating on a boat on this transparent mirror-like smooth surface of water...
You can see with what passion, with what awe and love the artist paints every little cloud, every tree, how carefully and meticulously he draws the water ripples and reflection. One can feel how deeply touched and inspired he is by nature.
"Do not slander nature, seek only the truth, work tirelessly," the master told his students. And in fact, he painted very realistically and accurately - at least pay attention to thin blue stripes of hardly noticeable waves, to reflections of clouds, spreading and changing light. Nothing is overlooked, in his paintings everything looks unvarnished, as it is, everything is inspired by the true beauty of nature, which can be comprehended by contemplating and taking note of the smallest details around.

The picture has something of this: water, reflection, landscape, sunset, sky, dawn, lake, nature, sea, river, beach, summer, cloud, sun, outdoors, ocean, evening, light.
Perhaps it’s a painting of a large body of water with clouds in the sky and a small island in the middle of the water with trees in the foreground.
