Igor Dryomin: "Eternally Alive Corpse" at the Winery Automatic translate
An exhibition of contemporary painting and sculpture "ETERNALLY LIVING TROUPE" has opened at the Center for Contemporary Art Winery - curatorial project of Anatoly OSMOLOVSKY, rector of the BAZA Moscow Art Institute, whose graduates made up the main backbone of this exposition - adherents of the formalistic approach.
“What is good formalism? It provides a clear system of values, artistic objectives and criteria. The almost complete disregard of this system by the Soviet school of painting makes it possible to play it rather recklessly, not particularly worrying about the consequences. The system here is used as a child’s designer, from which you can assemble anything you want ”- was expressed by the curator.
Participants of the exhibition: Angelina Merenkova, Maima Pushkareva, Sonya Rumyantseva, Nikolai Soprykin, Alexander Plyusnin, Ilmira Bolotyan, Nikita Spiridonov, Leta Dobrovolskaya, Ivan Novikov, Irina Petrakova, Denis Stroyev, Natasha Tarr.
