Along the left bank, a modest windmill stands as a prominent feature, its form partially obscured by foliage and distance. A cluster of buildings nestles close to the waters edge, their details indistinct but contributing to the overall sense of a settled community. The right bank recedes into the hazy distance, where masts of ships hint at a larger settlement beyond the immediate view.
Several small boats populate the river. In the foreground, a boat with several figures occupies a central position, drawing the viewers eye and suggesting human interaction within this natural setting.
