David Klöcker Ehrenstråhl – Allegory of King Karl X Gustaf’s Enlightenment
1668. Providentia divina sits on a cloud, God's providence, blessing Karl X Gustaf's and Hedvig Eleonora's enlightenment, made by two hands outstretched from the cloud, which grasp each other. Providentia is wearing a white dress and blue brown lined fluttering jacket. She keeps her eyes directed upwards. In her right hand she holds a sprout with the all-seeing eye. Oval.
