"Incarnation" by Paul Cezanne

The fate of Paul Cezanne happily coincided brilliant artist giftedness and personality traits extraordinary, outstanding man. But the artist himself did not bring recognition and happiness, and persecution, and full of poverty, he avoided only thanks to prosperity parents. His life had been paying ridicule and loneliness. At the same time he was able to so fully reveal his talent, that his work has allowed to appear and place many significant scenic areas of the 20th century. Organic unity and peculiar nuances and stylistic features, subsequently developed in the works of Picasso, Konchalovsky, Lentulova even been called "sezannizm" in support of the merits of the great Master.

Paul Cezanne was born in Aix, in the south of France, in 1839. His ability to draw delineated in early childhood, but her parents, secured and practical people, did not attach any importance to this. Paul went to school together with Emile Zola, his friendship with which he opened the present literature and high poetry. This friendship has become important for both and continued for almost all my life, to mutual alienation and even cooling, the come together successfully Zola's novel "Creativity".

Twenty boys Cezanne was able to insist that the overbearing father allowed him to keep learning the basics right and go for painting in Paris, where he persistently called Zola. Thus began the path of the artist, not strewn with roses and thorns only.

Not once Cezanne, rejected and ridiculed, will decide to give up painting. But calling, the value of which he had already clearly understood, each time will return to his passionate hobby. In Paris, he finds adherents among the Impressionists, but it is difficult to make friends because of the complex nature who combined stubbornness, willfulness and timidity in communication. In addition, unlike his creative manner of impressionist painting is already evident. Invaluable support Cezanne constantly provided Camille Pissarro, firmly believed in his genius.

Self-portrait in 1875 shows a large man with a thick beard and open, high forehead. Significant appearance is clearly contrary to an incredulous look. For the viewer, all this apparent strength is an indication of readiness to defend and confrontation. This contradiction proves that if agonizing self-doubt, and others, which constantly experienced artist. Already written many paintings, landscapes and still lifes, which allow to clearly define the essence of the style of Cezanne. The main thing in them - the perception of the artist, not only seen the casual observer, but also a deep sense of human, soul perceives the world.

Cezanne called his work "incarnation", emphasizing the desire to pass on the canvas to reveal to him the plan of the Creator. Dense, almost tangible paint landscapes, the combination of perspectives and viewpoints, limiting filling images are unique features of the style of the author. His inimitable coloring will be surpassed by no one.

Family life Cezanne to the middle of the 1860s gained certainty. He married Hortense, mother of his son, for many years the former wife of his secret for fear of his father's anger. After the death of his father inherited Cezanne good condition. But recognition is still there. In 1900 Cézanne wrote "Still Life with Skull", canvas, producing a painful impression its sinister views, despite the fact that the same period saw a reversal of fortune in the direction of the artist. Held its exhibitions that surprised even familiar with his work Parisian artists. His name became known in the world. But to enjoy the fruits of their labors Cezanne was unable to. He died in 1906, a severe cold while working outdoors. Cezanne in his youth worked to exhaustion, leaving the brush only when hunger has mutilos consciousness.

Paul Cezanne was able to release the artist from the obligation to accurately display the reality that prevailed in painting at the time. Creative personality of the painter, creator acquired in the 20th century such importance that the works of new directions become exactly correspond with her, not with unequivocal reality. Cezanne was a titan, standing on the shoulders of which modern art could approach the performance of its mission.
