Painter: Isaac Ilyich Levitan
Levitan’s familiar depiction of a light forest landscape. Nature, the Russian forest, is an image familiar to the viewer from childhood. The nature of Russia has not changed much over the years. There are still in our villages such forests: with broad unmowed meadows of wildflowers, with uncut tall trees, where full-packed mushrooms and berries. And Levitan tried to convey to the canvas all the joy of exultant summer nature.
Description of Isaac Levitan’s painting "Summer"
Levitan’s familiar depiction of a light forest landscape. Nature, the Russian forest, is an image familiar to the viewer from childhood.
The nature of Russia has not changed much over the years. There are still in our villages such forests: with broad unmowed meadows of wildflowers, with uncut tall trees, where full-packed mushrooms and berries. And Levitan tried to convey to the canvas all the joy of exultant summer nature. Nature lives, rushes to live - the summer time is fleeting, alas.
Who wouldn’t want to be in such a forest! The viewer will sense the aroma of this meadow: bright cornflowers, mushrooms, bluebells, daisies...a sea of flowers: it seems you can stretch out your hand and pick a bunch, just like in your childhood, or tie a wreath on your head of wild flowers. If we could find a lake nearby and go for a swim, what a splendid view around water would be.
Further away, behind the meadow you can see a forest road - quite a wide sandy road. Perhaps it is not often used by horse-drawn carriages. Such a path is good to walk on in the summer dusk or in the early morning, when the dew in the meadow will tickle bare feet.
Behind the bright, colorful meadow stretch lush green trees. On the right stands a lonely birch tree and dense shrubbery. And farther away, beyond the road, a huge and dense forest - it is full of berries and mushrooms. Which of you has not gone to such a forest for mushrooms, berries. You can meet there squirrels and hares. You can sit on grass, lie and daydream, chew the ears, look at the sky. It is beautiful!
The sky is clear, blue and sometimes bright blue. A pair of light clouds in the sky only emphasizes the completeness of this landscape; emphasizes its lightness and weightlessness. Watching the painting, you can even feel this fresh forest air and the smell of wildflowers. What a pity you can’t reach out and touch them - if only to pick one of these - a fragrant piece of unspoiled nature.

нет

The picture has something of this: landscape, nature, hayfield, grass, field, tree, outdoors, summer, rural, grassland, sky, countryside, flower, scenic, wood, agriculture, idyllic, environment, fair weather.
Perhaps it’s a painting of a field with trees and flowers in the foreground and a person in the distance on the far side of the field with a blue sky in the background.
