The eyes, large and expressive, are positioned on either side of this dividing line. They possess a melancholic quality, their downward gaze hinting at introspection or sorrow. Above each eye, circular forms are present, reminiscent of halos or stylized representations of the mind. These circles are further encircled by delicate white lines that create an impression of layered consciousness or interconnectedness.
A prominent vertical element cuts through the center of the composition. It takes the form of a dark, cruciform shape – a cross – and is surrounded by spiraling patterns. This central axis seems to act as both a point of intersection for the opposing halves of the face and a conduit for energy or spiritual connection. The placement of this symbol suggests themes of sacrifice, balance, or perhaps even reconciliation between disparate elements.
Below the head, a stylized depiction of foliage emerges from the darkness, rendered in shades of green and purple. These organic forms provide a grounding element to the composition, hinting at nature, growth, and resilience. The swirling patterns that appear throughout the work – on the face, within the foliage, and as background elements – contribute to a sense of dynamism and continuous movement.
The overall effect is one of profound symbolism and layered meaning. Here we see an exploration of duality, introspection, spiritual connection, and the interplay between human consciousness and the natural world. The artist’s use of color, line, and form creates a visually arresting image that invites contemplation on complex themes related to existence and interconnectedness.
