Один из лучших образов Св. Пророка Исайи, созданных по Библейскому Писанию. Восторг!
Все, кто рисовал всяких там "пророков" один чёрт никогда их не видели. Рафаэлю щедро оплатили заказ, он и постарался.

The figure’s attire is noteworthy. He wears a flowing, light blue tunic draped over a vibrant orange robe, creating a striking contrast of color that draws attention to his form. The folds of the garments are rendered with considerable detail, indicating a mastery of drapery techniques and contributing to the overall sense of dynamism within the scene. His beard and hair, styled in loose curls, suggest an age associated with wisdom and prophetic authority.
Flanking the central figure above, two cherubic figures emerge from lush foliage, supporting a stone tablet inscribed with text. These putti, rendered with delicate features and soft modeling, introduce a layer of heavenly presence and divine sanction to the scene. Their placement reinforces the notion that the man’s message originates from a higher power. The inscription on the tablet itself, written in Greek, further emphasizes this connection to established religious traditions.
The dark background serves to isolate the figure and heighten his prominence, directing the viewers focus entirely upon him and the scroll he holds. The limited palette – primarily blues, oranges, and flesh tones – contributes to a sense of restrained elegance and spiritual gravity.
Subtly, the gesture of holding the scroll aloft with his right hand suggests not merely reading but also proclaiming or revealing its contents. This act implies a role as messenger or interpreter of divine will. The combination of the figure’s posture, expression, and the surrounding iconography collectively conveys an image of prophetic insight and spiritual authority – a conduit between the earthly realm and the divine.
