Deep within the continent,
Like organs in the bodys flesh,
Are towns where life is easy -
To be good-natured, speechless,
What more is there to say?
The houses are white, the neighbors clear,
And its so comfortable just living.
Forests surround them, and within them are bears,
Not deer. And the sheriff
Is reliable, almost everyone knows him.
They dont expect anything, they dont need prospects,
They neither love poems nor songs.

Whether its Chicago or New York,
They pile up like mountains.
A district where mingling with scoundrels
Is more valuable to them – it
Will hardly evoke enthusiasm. Such powerful
Cities are built. The park turns blue in winter – something
I will never forget.
I have seen the bluish Hudson,
A bridge like a sharp string.
Although I am not a leader in this life,
This distance is interesting to me...

University towns, neat and orderly,
Red brick of old buildings.
Unfortunately, it rarely happens that
Expectations are confirmed.
Or the palm trees of California have grown so much
That you cant see them – its wild.
How much does a strawberry cost in Los Angeles?
The sky is always blue.
If its Las Vegas, then its to gamble.
Advertising flows like blood, ochre,
Gold, silver. You cant imagine a crows caw here -
Its easy to imagine a pillow soaked
With tears.
And they rarely drink milk here.

A forest where any film
Can be shot – a forest-industry.
What will the climate be like?
Different from Russia.
A palace is lowered from the sky,
And next to it, a rocket
Is launched – also a fantasy.
The scale will scare you.
