CHRISTMAS ANGELS
1
Christmas angels perceive flight differently -
Its so transparent, yet it happens above the earth,
Where layers are terribly opaque.
Flight is also praise, a choir,
Sound becomes thought, and thought becomes a miracle.
And the brightest surge of spirit
Will dispel evil in our familiar, laborious
World, which torments our gaze so much.

A duty angel has many
Urgent, most important things to do.
The angel is itself an embodiment of duty;
It just flew past the roof...
It will tell them how to reconcile -
They sit apart in different rooms for no reason,
And a golden stream of love
Has spilled out. And their quarrel is like hell.
A kind angel stops a car that was about to hit
A pedestrian, flying easily
Above the highway. From above, its just a thread.
It enhances the beauty of the landscape
With its snowy blue. Thousands of things
Arise – and theres not even time to think
That anything might be left undone.

... Conscience is awareness of wrongdoing.
Christmas angels are singing.
Here, sound equals knowledge, that is,
The right path is guessed through sound.
There are axes, invisible to us – the angel knows,
And it has been entrusted with the levers.
If it fails, it cries out in anguish.
But angels are too great for false
Deeds – theres no reason to cry: on the contrary,
Its a holy celebration of Christmas.
Thus, the word of thought, reinforcing truth,
Gives signs of higher kinship.

Snow represents the thoughts of angels -
Listen! They are light.
They praise God with their breath,
These snowflakes, miraculous petals.
Flight is smooth and grand.
The universality of Christmas sounds.
And life, entrusted to prose,
Suddenly becomes important to you.
The snow is white, opal shimmers,
Your affairs and bustle prevent you
From hearing the angels.
Live your days differently.

Surrounding them are several angels, their forms ethereal and graceful. One angel plays the violin with intense focus, her bow poised over the strings, creating a visual melody. Another angel gently strums a lute-like instrument, adding a harmonious layer to the scene. A third angel, with a look of quiet contemplation, leans in towards Mary and Jesus, her expression one of protective adoration. The angels are clothed in flowing white garments that suggest purity and divinity, and their large, feathered wings are spread majestically, though subtly, in the background.
The setting appears to be a pastoral paradise, with a dark, wooded area in the background and a scattering of foliage and grass in the foreground. A fragment of classical architecture, perhaps a broken column or pedestal, is visible, hinting at time and history, and possibly suggesting the divinity that underpins earthly existence.
The subtexts of the painting are rich with religious and spiritual meaning. The central image of Mary and the Christ child is a powerful icon of maternal love, divine innocence, and the promise of salvation. The angels music can be interpreted as a celestial chorus, celebrating the birth of Christ and heralding his divine mission. The overall atmosphere of peace and tranquility suggests a moment of profound spiritual connection and divine presence. The painting conveys themes of love, protection, divine grace, and the sacredness of new life. The presence of the angels framing the central figures elevates the scene beyond a simple domestic moment, imbuing it with a sense of the holy.
