The exhibition features thirty works, mainly large sculptures, created in 2006 - 2019. Porcelain sculpture requires its creator’s talent as a sculptor, performing a completed form of porcelain mass, and a painter who is able to correctly select colors at all stages of firing a future work. Having mastered sophisticated technology that has not changed much over the past 300 years, Galina Dulkina in her workshop performs casting, glazing, painting, firing, gilding and other necessary processes. The works of Galina, a young porcelain sculptor, have long been in the collections of the world-famous ballet soloist Nikolai Tsiskaridze, maestro Yuri Temirkanov, head of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, director of the AZ Museum Natalia Opaleva, Marc Chagall Museum, world-famous collectors Moris Baryush, Boris Friedman, Konstantin Ernst, Andrei Cheglakov and other prominent collections.
Space, rock music, circus - now the main themes of the sculptor-porcelain.
At the exhibition for the first time the whole cycle of works “We will hear the flight of all planets” about Cosmos and Man is exhibited. The cycle was highly appreciated by Academician M. I Marov, a student and associate of the founder of cosmonautics, Academician M.V. Keldysh, a native of Latvia. Academician Marov sent a greeting to Latvia on the occasion of the exhibition. All sculptures of the series “Rock musicians” will be exhibited in Riga. The original versions of the series are presented in the collection of the French collector Maurice Baryush, who had the best private collection of Russian porcelain and watercolors in the world (a significant part of this collection is now in the State Hermitage (St. Petersburg)).
Solo exhibitions of Galina were held at the status venues in Moscow (Moscow State Museum "Burganov’s House", Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, Central House of Artists), Berlin, Vilnius, Vitebsk (Marc Chagall Museum). Galina’s sculptures were selected by an eminent jury to participate in the Meissen Porcelain Biennale at Albrechtsburg Castle. It was in this castle three hundred years ago that European porcelain was created. Now Riga art connoisseurs will be able to see firsthand the work of the famous porcelain artist.
