Evpatoria artists became laureates of the International Bryantsev Festival in St. Petersburg
The Arti Shock acting group of the Golden Key Evpatoria International Center for Theater Arts was included in the top three children’s theater groups in Russia, receiving a diploma of the laureate “For the best embodiment of the classic fairy tale” for the play “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” at the International Bryantsev Festival, which was held from March 19 to March 23 in St. Petersburg.
The international Bryantsev Festival of children’s theater groups is the largest and most prestigious children’s festival in the entire north-western region. Over the 19 years of its existence, thousands of children from Russia and other countries took part in it, many of whom in the future connected their lives with the theater, became professional actors and directors. This year the festival is dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the founder of the theater, Soviet actor and director Alexander Bryantsev.
During four competitive days on the Small Stage of the State Theater of Young Spectators named after A. A. Bryantsev non-stop passed 25 performances of groups from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novorossiysk, Kazan, Rezekne and Riga (Latvia) and Tallinn (Estonia). Crimea was presented at the international festival for the first time.
During the selection of the jury, more than 100 performances were watched. Particular attention was paid to the fact that in the production the personality of the child was fully manifested. “When a little artist lives a whole story before our eyes, manifesting himself as a person, this is the most expensive and valuable,” said the jury member, People’s Artist of Russia Nikolai Ivanov.
According to the festival organizers, this year the repertoire of amateur productions was more than serious. The playbill was composed by the works of Chekhov, Volodin, Ostrovsky, Pushkin and Shakespeare. The premiere performance of the Yevpatoria Theater “Tale of Tsar Saltan” presented at the festival is a stage version of the famous fairy tale of the classic of Russian literature. “Without a drop of fear and shyness, the guys tell a story that has become their own, for them. They themselves are Pushkin’s sheet. ” - Ulya Martyanova, a student of the theater studies faculty of the Russian State Institute of Artists and Entrepreneurs, writes about the play performed by the ArtiShock acting group.
The director of the play itself, Honored Worker of Culture of Crimea Irina Faustova says that her students brought home a lot of positive emotions, vivid impressions and new knowledge.
- I am very glad that our children have become part of the international Bryantsev Festival. A festival is always air, an opportunity to look at the world around, get in touch with the creativity of other talented groups and bring something out for yourself, in your professional and life treasury. - says Irina Faustova. “Such trips unite us, inspiring us to work, new exploits and victories.”
In addition to a rich theater program, in which all genres of stage art were presented, master classes for young artists, discussion of performances with professional theater figures, seminars for teachers and directors were held as part of the festival, but the main thing that presented the festival to all participants was communication with peers and like-minded people. In their free time from the festival program, artists had the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural, historical and architectural monuments of the northern capital - they visited one of the largest museums in the world in the Hermitage and the State Russian Museum, the country’s first state museum of Russian fine art, Kazan, Peter and Paul and St. Isaac’s Cathedrals, Museum of Water.
The trip was carried out thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea.
