October 4 at 16:00 in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (Lenin St., 103, first floor) will open the exhibition "Female Image" from the funds of the KIIA.
At the exhibition, the viewer is invited to get acquainted with the versatile works of Russian artists of the 20-21 centuries from the funds of the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts. The exposition presents chamber female portraits of the Soviet era (Ostroumov, Magidson, Yuryeva), works made in the spirit of impressionist painting (Birshtein, Pavlishak), as well as a modern vision in the works of the late 20th century, the beginning of the 21st (Vatagin, Nesterova, Bazanov).
All the heroines are very different, and the paintings carry dissimilar emotions: some are contemplative, some carry a lyrical mood, others give food for thought. But all of them are united by an appeal to the beautiful half of humanity, and not only to external beauty and grace, but also to their spiritual emotional world.
No matter how the styles, directions, worldviews in art change, the female image will always be one of the fundamental, artists will always look for means of synthesizing external and internal beauty. The muse for poets, artists and musicians will always be presented in the guise of a beautiful young person who fills authors with creative energy and lyrical mood.
The exhibition runs until October 27th.
