Nina Vasilievna Kuzminykh - artist of decorative art.
Kuzminykh was born on September 5, 1956 in Irkutsk, in 1980 she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Kazan Civil Engineering Institute.
N.V. Kuzminykh - a recognized master in the field of art ceramics. From 1982 to 1988, she worked as an artist-designer at the Combine Folk Art Crafts in Kazan, creating author’s souvenir products in various materials: ceramics, wood, embroidery. During this period of creativity N.V. Kuzminykh turned to the origins of Tatar fine art, enthusiastically studying the national ornament and successfully applied his developments in the ornament of ceramics.
Since 1988, N.V. Kuzminykh has been working in the Art Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan. Many of her works were specially made for the interiors of buildings such as the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, the lobby of the agricultural technical school, the interior of the House of Culture of the city of Mendeleevsk, the Stroybank dining room, the restaurants Rubai, Pirosmani, and a children’s cafe in the Tugan Avylym complex.
The artist fruitfully works in the field of landscape design, creating works in her original original manner: compositions “Night” (1990), “Birds” (1999), “Pisces” (1999), “Turtle” (2006). The works of Nina Vasilyevna are filled with love for nature, recognizable by their inner emotional fullness and warmth.
Currently, N.V. Kuzminykh is developing the genre of decorative sculpture. Among her works are the series “The Life of Birds” (2007), the sculpture “The Burden” (2007), the series “Female Images” (2007–2016). The author is concerned about topics such as the woman’s world, the life of the city, leaving Kazan.
N.V. Kuzminyh is actively exhibited at regional, republican, national, international exhibitions. The artist’s works are stored in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as in private collections in Greece, Italy, France and Russia.
The exhibition, which runs through October 9, features watercolors, batik, sculptural compositions, and ceramic souvenirs.
