The exhibition is dedicated to the jubilee of a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, laureate of the Governor of the Omsk Region Prize Rimma Petrovna Kamkina. The name of Rimma Kamkina is included in the “Book of honor of cultural and art workers of the city of Omsk”. She turned 90 on October 18, 2020.
The path of Rimma Petrovna Kamkina in the artistic culture of Omsk is distinguished by its unique originality: it is imbued with individual spiritual wealth, striking with purposeful creative energy. The layers of her work are diverse, with a thematic diversity characteristic of the era - urban landscape, portrait, still life, village and industrial motifs, genre compositions. The works performed in various techniques reflect the artist’s world, filled with deep content, feelings and emotions.
The cycle of Pushkin’s portraits, both chamber and monumental, is a complete suite of drawings with its own inner theme, with its own drama. Watercolors help to penetrate deeper into the atmosphere of Pushkin’s lyrics, to feel the emotional tension of poetry. Rimma Kamkina, possessing a brighter and more sensitive imagination, sometimes an inquisitive attitude to the topic, shares with the viewer and contributes to a stronger impact.
In parallel with the images of A.S. Pushkin, the image of Northern Palmyra appears - a city covered with fog and poetry of the white nights, both ghostly and real. St. Petersburg - the kingdom of the Bronze Horseman: "full of beauty and wonder", the Neva, "dressed in granite", bridges "hanging over the waters", "cast-iron pattern fence".
Moscow is represented by paintings from the Old Arbat series along and across, and the Moscow region is represented by drawings made in ink and ballpoint pen.
The exposition of the exhibition contains about 70 works in different genres and techniques.
