Artists Daniel Cortez and Alexander Antonov at the LeGa Gallery Automatic translate
From November 21 to 28, 2014, a personal exhibition will be held at the LeGa Gallery in Moscow, combining two interesting, relevant creative personalities - Daniel Cortes and Alexander Antonov. The objective of the exhibition is to acquaint the viewer with the works of artists performed by them at different times. Among them you can see very fresh compositions and already familiar to fans of artists.
Artists Daniel Cortez and Alexander Antonov began their career in the mid-2000s, but in recent years they have done a lot on their career, created the type of art that will attract viewers for more than a decade. They have not a single exhibition on their account, they are actively participating in major creative projects such as INVENIRE OCCULTA and VISAvART.
The exhibition’s exposition is united by one theme - “A game that has no name” (this is the name of the impressive picturesque triptych by Daniel Cortes and Alexander Antonov “This game has no name”). Art lovers are invited to get acquainted with the fascinating game of colors, shapes, spatial plans. The paintings are so bright, individual and attractive that they carry the viewer into their mysterious world.
In the abstract painting “The Seasons”, you can see different images, color combinations that evoke a lively associative series with the world of colors, sensations, sounds, generated by each of the seasons - winter cold, autumn glow of scarlet, joy of spring and summer, sadness of autumn. At the same time, there are allusions to periods of human life and the life of the world, twisted into a vortex of changing seasons, recreated from vortex strokes on the canvas.
In the works of Daniel Cortes and Alexander Antonov, whose works are participating in exhibitions, both in Moscow and in other cities of the world (New York, Dresden) there is an attractive grace when easel painting is combined with design and new and beautiful art is created at their junction. In the canvases presented at the exhibition, one can also see futuristic echoes, such as “Evening”, “Hidden Powers” by Daniel Cortes and constructivist searches of artists, in some of them you can see some echoes of kitsch, but served in an ironic soft manner (“Cow”, "Prairie No. 1" by Alexander Antonov).
Also striking in these works is the striking, powerful energy, involving the viewer, enchanting his eyes when you walk through the halls of the gallery. There are not many works presented at the exhibition, but all of them are conceptually verified, and make up the necessary links in a chain created from many artistic games, puzzles, and puzzles that you have to solve during a visit to the exhibition.
Present at the exhibition are also works that take the viewer into space distances (Elements of the Future by Alexander Antonov), into some kind of spatial faults, where we face the future.
The theme of the game is endless and multifaceted and incredibly relevant in modern culture and the modern world. This helps to understand and for a second open the veil of secrecy of the exhibition "A game that has no name."
