At the beginning of his career, he turned to small sculptural plastic from wood, horns and bones, and later, in the second half of the 1960s, he created carved wall panels and plates. A. Sysoev won recognition at art exhibitions in Moscow, Kazan and other cities with multi-figure subject-themed compositions made of wood, carved dishes, caskets, vases and others decorated with ornamental carvings in trihedral-notched and flat-relief art. Some of them served as models for replication by masters of the Combine of Folk Artistic Crafts, where A. Sysoev worked for most of his life. They were created as national souvenirs and decorated with Tatar ornaments.
The main thing in his work is sculpture in various materials, such as wood, metal, stone.
