"XO" is a personal exhibition - the result of the author’s artistic understanding of the nature of relationships at all levels - from man and society, to man and man. At the epicenter of his attention is "He and She". This archetypal, but never obsolete theme has found its embodiment in the eponymous sculptural series, intertwining and colliding the Feminine and the Masculine. The author embodies his vision by reducing all apparent complexity to a simple, attractive and understandable to everyone language of symbols. Eugene finds inspiration in the sensory experience he directly experienced: "XO" is my language of expression in simple symbols (like the letters of the alphabet, which can be used to write down the entire complexity of speech). So I show what I felt, saw and managed to understand about the world around me, its simplicity and at the same time complexity, boundlessness.With these symbols, I want to simplify the image of a person, man and woman, boy or girl, trying to convey only the essence of the depicted, the mood. Cutting off unnecessary literality, I create a laconic and capacious image of a person and his character. "

Today, thanks to his bright and recognizable creative style, Yevgeny Primachenko is spoken of as one of the most successful and promising young Ukrainian sculptors. Evgeniy was born on October 6, 1990 in the city of Kiev. He received his first professional education in his early years at the art school "Kyiv Children’s Academy of Arts". After - student and graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Since 2007, he has been actively implementing his creative activities, participating in projects aimed at improving the urban environment (the author’s sculpture adorns the urban landscape and parks of Kiev, Kharkov, Dnieper and other settlements of the country), as well as through participation in group art exhibitions and other Ukrainian and international art projects.

The artist does not stop developing and, in search of new ways to translate his ideas, boldly experiments with materials, form and color. The fruit of such creative work in 2020 was a series of sculptures made of metal, bronze, stone, plastic, glass, as well as the synthesis of materials, using the author’s processing technique, conventionally united by the name "XO", with which the Art Gallery "Manufactura" invites you to get acquainted within the framework of the exhibition of the same name.
