And yet, it’s not possible to tie such creativity to a certain direction of our art… Of course, the isolation of creativity is not uncommon in art, and the fact that Khachatur Bely is “inconvenient” for classification is not an axiological factor, but a psychological one: the person craves changes and is constantly experimenting….

… However, most of Khachatur’s painting is a search for fresh expressiveness. He himself divides it into three periods. Conventionally, they can be described as “surreal landscape”, a combination of figurative art and abstraction and expressive realism (of the last cycles, the “orchestra” is especially interesting).
