On November 13, 2018, in the exhibition halls of the Russian Academy of Arts (Prechistenka 21), an exhibition of paintings by the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, a member of the International Association of Fine Arts of AIAP UNESCO Omar Chkhaidze will open. Lapiashvili was the head of his creative workshop. Since 1964, Chkhaidze regularly participates in international exhibitions. The author’s works are in museums, galleries, numerous private and corporate collections in many countries. Since 1994, he lives and works in Moscow. The artist was awarded honorary professional awards: gold medals of the Russian Academy of Arts; Union of Artists of Russia, Moscow Union of Artists; medals of Leonardo da Vinci, medals of Vasily Kandinsky, honorary title and medal “Knight of Science and Arts” of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, etc.

The artist positions himself as the founder of a new direction in the visual arts - “light-subject painting”. Light has become the main subject in the work of the author. Having created his own aesthetics of Light, he showed how Light can be transformed into Color.

According to the artist-innovator, he develops a “pure language” of painting, starting from the experience of the first avant-garde artists. According to researchers, the works of Chkhaidze, created in 2005-2018, show that the era of neoplasticism and Suprematism, begun in 1910-1920. Mondrian and Malevich completed. They note that in 2013, creating the picture “Entry into the World”, which gave the name to the exhibition, Omar Chkhaidze broke out of Malevich’s “black square”, personifying Darkness, into Light, which is a substance of the Universe - and he began to write only Light, only vibration of spiritual Light.

The range of interests of Omar Chkhaidze is not limited to painting. He is the author of the innovative project "Center of Light", created in 2016 and in 2017 received the state patent of the Russian Federation.

Building his concept of the universe in line with the teachings of V.I. Vernadsky, he proposed, in addition to the concepts of the biosphere, anthroposphere, and noosphere, two more, belonging to the field of Light and Darkness - the luxosphere and the tenebrosphere, whose unity and harmony is the highest stage of evolution of the biosphere and noosphere. For this discovery, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences awarded Omar Chkhaidze the gold medal of Peter Kapitsa, and the European Academy of Natural Sciences - the medal of Wilhelm Leibniz.
