May 31 at 15:00 in the Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art will open the exhibition project of one of the most prominent and influential artists of Ukraine Viktor Sidorenko.

The exhibition project Atonal reality is subordinated to the two-sided search for harmonious in the atonal and real in the figurative; raises questions about society, humanism and self-identification of modern man in the context of social and historical processes.

Atonality is not disharmony, but an inversion of a holistic, universally accepted system that we are trying to define and capture verbally for ourselves. Sound, according to Sidorenko, is the energy that surrounds us and affects us.

The rhythm of sound has its own pattern, its own graphic image or SIGN. Streams of sound waves descend to Earth with a certain frequency and act on every cell of living matter. We ourselves are carriers of these frequencies, and the cleaner we perceive this sound, the easier it is to become what we call a “creator” or a “creative person”.

Sound, its frequency have a huge impact on a person, and the cleaner we get into resonance with the frequency of solar vibrations, the cleaner the NOTES of creativity, inspiration, health and prosperity sound.

The art of Victor Sidorenko is a rare example of combining the powerful imagery of visual embodiment and the active study of the problems of the interaction of subjects and objects of reality.

Over the past years, the artist has been working hard to portray the phenomenon of the hero, as a kind of expressive metaphor for actions, deeds, feelings and thoughts. The hero is placed in the real context of our society. Consumer society, where the hero fulfills his wishes.

Sidorenko is a search character. It is in constant search for the naming point of the coordinates in which it is located. Self-identification, "authentication", endless comparisons with oneself are relevant at all times.

The fundamental certainty of the research vector and the development of its semantic imagery for Sidorenko was determined back in 1996, in the Amnesia project, where the universal character “the man in underpants” first appeared: a half-dressed man in underwear that had been worn in our country for almost a century all social strata. The artist believes that this character remains relevant in 2018. Our unconscious, unanalyzed experience returns to the public consciousness with unfinished myths and social complexes. The past grows to enormous proportions, growing in its non-familiarity to the present, expanding and taking up space. Sometimes the past becomes simply limitless.

Atonal reality exhibition is dedicated to the hero. A hero of our time with traces of the past on plans for the future, in a frantic desire to get rid of not only the burden and responsibility of his memory, but also the very possibility of reflection. This hero is on the lookout, this hero is on the way.
