The memorial museum-workshop of S. T. Konenkov presents the exhibition project of Tatiana Kochemasova "From a fairy tale to a fairy tale". The exposition of the exhibition will include more than 50 works by T.A.Kochemasova, including paintings, graphics, ceramics, glass, as well as sculptures and drawings by S.T.Konenkov from the funds and storerooms of the museum, revealing the theme of a fairy tale. Fairy tales of different peoples of Russia and the world are distinguished by a special imagery, expressiveness of characters, deep symbolism and subtle philosophy of life, assertion of the unity of the natural and human world.
Being in the special atmosphere of the permanent exposition of the museum, the works of the vice-president of the Russian Academy of Arts, candidate of art history Tatyana Aleksandrovna Kochemasova are called upon to enter into a dialogue with fabulous images in the work of a full member of the USSR Academy of Arts Sergei Timofeevich Konenkov. It is according to the principle of dialogue with the great master that the exhibition projects of contemporary artists are built, which are regularly held in the museum-workshop.
Refracting and synthesizing the motives of "neo-national" art - "an alloy of worlds, where a part of the universal soul", Tatyana Kochemasova creates her own world. Her creative method is characterized by a decorative palette, the use of open color combinations. All canvases are written in this vein, with a special emphasis on symbolic reading and fantasy, which are filled with a fabulous atmosphere.
“To read only children’s books, only to cherish children’s thoughts, to dispel all great things, to rise up out of deep sorrow,” Osip Mandelstam’s dream lines come to mind. The well-known literary critic V.P. Butromeev rightly noted that there are few truly famous collections of fairy tales. Only five. Among them are the German "Children’s and Household Tales" by the Brothers Grimm. In the preface to them, Butromeev wrote: "They are the soul of the people, their self-portrait, which may seem unusual, fantastic, inconsistent with generally accepted ideas about this people, but this self-portrait is accurate and true." From the very first translation of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm by V. A. Zhukovsky, children fell in love with them, and first of all - “Bremen street musicians”. For them T.A.Kochemasova created a whole series of works, revealing her love for the animal world, which in the space of a children’s fairy tale always resonates with a person.
In Tatyana Kochemasova, the imagery of the characters and the storyline of the fairy tale is refracted through a cinematic reading. Wonderful cartoons released in the early 1970s based on the fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm, where the best musical parts were performed by Oleg Anofriev, have become a favorite for many generations of young viewers. A note of musicality in revealing the theme to the words "There is nothing better in the world than wandering around the world as friends", the artist tried to bring to her fairy-tale series. In the same spirit, works on the theme of "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" by R. E. Raspe were created: "The Peacock of Baron Munchausen" (2019) and "The Deer of Baron Munchausen" (2019). And how can we not recall the magnificent film “That Munchausen” based on the script by Grigory Gorin, where the main character, so inimitably played by Oleg Yankovsky, says: “Smile, gentlemen, smile. "
Images of the paintings “Swan Lake. Lac de Zurich "(2015)," Summer Mood "from the series" Horse Stories "(2016), diptych" Bathing the Tiger "(2019)," Frogs "(2014) - they all balance in consciousness between characters from works to music P Tchaikovsky, A. L. Vivaldi, fairy tales by D. R. Kipling and A. Afanasyev and their prototypes from the Garden of Eden. It is no coincidence that Doctor of Philosophy O. A. Lavrenova in her reflections on the work of T. A. Kochemasova noticed that her art is a connotation of Grebenshchikov’s song on the poem "Paradise" by Henri Volokhonsky.
In the metaphorical space of Tatyana Alexandrovna’s work, a special theme is portraits of relatives. The central image is the image of mother Elena (2020), where the artist’s brush conveys the most quivering and tender feelings. Her image invariably appears surrounded by a blooming garden, the very Eden, into which the souls of loved ones rush. And I involuntarily recall the words from "Paradise" by Volokhonsky: "let the star lead you along the way to the wonderful garden."
